Foothills County has received an application from agents Lee Snowden and Jason Dyck of Ryan Schmidt Architecture Studio Ltd. on behalf of landowners Kathryn and Arnon Levy proposing a Site Specific Amendment to allow for an Oversized, Private Arena +/- 44,380 sq. ft.

As shown on the location map, the subject parcel (shaded in black) is located in Council Division 3, on the north side of Highway 546, 300 m northwest of the Sheep River, and 2.5 km west of the Town of Diamond Valley.

Foothills County has received a Development Permit application from agent Ken Venner of B&A Studios on behalf of Earl Wakeford Holdings Inc. requesting the approval of the Wakeford Business Park Outline Plan; and concurrent Redesignation/ Land Use Amendment of three subject parcels to allow for the future subdivision of:

  • 9 Business Park District lots,
  • 10 General Industry District lots, and
  • 3 Municipal Reserve lots.

As shown on the location map, the subject parcel (shaded in black) is located in Council Division 1, adjacent to the Town of High River, on the North side of 498 Ave E (Highway 543)  and directly East of Highway 2A, within the Highway 2A industrial corridor.

Foothills Landing Area Structure Plan - NE/SE/SW 20-21-29 W4M & SE/NE 19-21-29 W4M

Foothills County has received an application from Agents B&A Studios, on behalf of Carefree Lifestyle Solutions Inc. and the Carefree Group,  for the consideration of the adoption of the Foothills Landing Area Structure Plan (ASP). The ASP provides a planning framework for the future development of a master planned community located on lands southeast of the Hamlet of DeWinton approximately 11km south of the City of Calgary at the junction of Highways 2 and 2A. The ASP lays out a future land use concept, transportation concept, piped water and wastewater servicing concept, stormwater management concept and implementation strategy for the approximately 471.51 acre (190.72 hectare) Plan Area. The ASP contemplates the development of approximately 2,100 residential units to accommodate various housing types, commercial development, open spaces, municipal, school and environmental reserves.

Foothills County has submitted an application on behalf of Landowners Larry & Kari-Lynn Newhook proposing the closure and consolidation of a portion of an undeveloped Road Plan.

As shown on the location map, the subject parcel (shaded in black) is located in Council Division 4, approximately 4.7km South of Hwy 22X and 3km West of Hwy 22, within an undeveloped portion of 226 Ave West.

Foothills County has received an application from Agent Lisa Konopski of Urban Systems Ltd, on behalf of Rob Shotclose of Bearspaw First Nation, proposing the redesignation of a +/- 5.0 acre portion of the subject 60.91 acre Agricultural District parcel to Community Commercial District to allow for future subdivision.

As shown on the location map, the subject parcel (shaded in black) is located in Council Division 2, Adjacent to the south side of Highway #541 at Main Street, Eden Valley; approximately 3.5 miles to the east of the boundary of Kananaskis Improvement District No.5.
