The On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) is a joint Federal-Provincial program administered through Alberta’s Results Driving Agriculture Research (RDAR). The goal of the program is to increase Best Management Practices in the areas of :
- Nitrogen Management- 4R nutrient stewardship, Soil testing and mapping, Nitrogen stabilizers and enhanced efficiency fertilizer, equipment rental/ custom application of fertilizer.
- Cover Cropping- Per acre payments for seed and application costs for cover crops.
- Rotational Grazing- Development of grazing management plans, wire and electric fencing costs, watering systems and pipelines, seed and application costs for increasing legume stands in pastures.
To apply for funding you must have your BMP plan must be approved by a Professional Agrologist or Certified Crop Advisor.
