Public Notice – COVID-19
December 11, 2020
Foothills County continues to be vigilant in our response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and our commitment to ensuring the safety of staff and residents.
In response to the stronger public health measures and restrictions that were introduced this week, the County has taken additional steps to ensure compliance with provincial regulations. Enhanced cleaning and sanitization practices continue, and the number of employees who are present in the building has further been reduced.
All departments are recognized as essential services and remain fully operational. The Foothills Administration building remains open, however, the public is encouraged to contact staff by way of email or telephone in order to limit the number of people within the building at this time. Contact information for each department can be found on the Foothills County website - MD Foothills | Contact.
In addition to this, mandatory restrictions require that all indoor recreation facilities close their doors to the public effective Sunday December 13, 2020. As a result, the Scott Seaman Sports Rink and the Crescent Point Regional Field House will be closed as of this date and will remain closed until further notice. Additional information on the closure of these facilities and their associated uses can be found on our website at MD Foothills | Parks & Recreation.
We remain committed to keeping our residents and staff informed as we navigate through these challenging times, and updates will be posted should additional information be made available.
