Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in the foothills of southern Alberta.
We are accepting applications for the position of Light Equipment Operator-Mowing and Brushing within the Agricultural Services Department. The position is responsible for maintaining the Foothills County roads, Hamlets and any other County property as needed, in respect to grass mowing and brush cutting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience with operating agricultural equipment such as tractors, chainsaws, and mowing equipment.
- Experience with loading and hauling equipment on trailers.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Q Endorsement, an asset.
- Pesticide Applicator License or Authorized Assistant License, an asset.
- Level 3 Chainsaw Feller Ticket, an asset.
- Good communication and written skills.
Note: A current driver’s abstract will be a requirement for this position and must meet the standards outlined in our policy.
