Due to the recent weather and the upcoming weather forecast, Foothills County has lifted all fire restrictions.
We will keep an eye on the weather and the potential for risk(s) in the County, and we will update as necessary. As long as all permits are in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations, which are available on the County website, fire permits will continue to be given for all fires that call for permits. Additionally, residents will be reminded that acquiring a fire permit is always required for class 1 & 2 fires, free of charge, and that they can apply for these burn permits on the county website. Residents are also reminded that the County may impose a fire ban, fire restriction, or advisory at any time and burn permits may be revoked with little to no notice if the conditions warrant it.
- Fires that require a permit, Class1 and Class2. (Class1 is for small burns, less than 10 x 10 X 5, Class2 is for large burns, any area that is 10’ X 10’ X 5’ or larger).
If a Fire Ban or Restriction is imposed, citizens must immediately and fully extinguish their open fire, all existing permits will become void and no new permits will be issued.
