
Due to the state of affairs in the province, current prolonged heat conditions, and upcoming forecasted weather, Foothills County has moved to Fire Ban status.
The overall fire danger is increasing rapidly due to prolonged hot temperatures, mixed with winds. Conditions are deteriorating rapidly increasing the risk of wildfires in a time when resources are already limited provincially.
A Burning Ban effects all open fires including burning barrels, campfires, and fireworks/exploding targets. All open fires must be extinguished and any open burning and fireworks permits are canceled.
