Foothills County
Foothills County would like to advise residents that Council has given first reading to a proposed speed limit reduction on Dunbow Road between Highway 2A and the Artesia intersection.
The proposed change would reduce the speed limit from 80 km/h to 50 km/h to:
- Better match current driving conditions during construction
- Reduce confusion caused by inconsistent speed changes
- Improve safety for all road users
If Council proceeds with second and third readings, the County will ensure the new speed limit is clearly posted. This will include updated signage, message boards, and communication through the County website and social media channels.
