The Foothills Regional Landfill & Resource Recovery Centre (LRRC) consists of a landfill operation, throw & go recycling area, compost pad, household hazardous waste collection area, and a salvage and recycling non-profit organization. The Foothills Regional LRRC is inviting applications for a Seasonal Light Equipment Operator

This position is responsible for the safe operation of light landfill equipment, vehicles, and general site maintenance. Duties include operating and maintaining equipment and tools, keeping service records up to date, coordinating external repairs, and performing general labour and site upkeep tasks to support daily landfill operations.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or GED.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License.
  • A current driver’s abstract with no more than 6 demerits is required.
  • Must have knowledge of machine operation, servicing and maintenance.
  • Class 3Q Endorsement Driver’s License, an asset.
  • SWANA or other recognized courses in waste handling, an asset.
