1st & 2nd COVID-19 Vaccines Available in Foothills

PSA from AHS: First and second dose drop-in COVID-19 immunization clinics in August. No appointments necessary. Alberta Health Services is offering no-appointment, first and second dose COVID-19 immunization clinics with Moderna and Pfizer vaccine for people aged 12+ in Cremona, High River, and Cayley in August. People born in 2009 or earlier who have not had a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to attend the clinics at:

• August 4 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) – Cremona Community Centre, 302 Centre St, Cremona
• August 5 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) – Highwood Memorial Centre, 128 5 Ave SW, High River
• August 10 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) – Cayley School, 904 Ross Avenue, Cayley

There will be 300 doses of mRNA vaccine at each clinic. Protect yourself, protect others – get vaccinated today! Please bring your Alberta Health Care card if you have one, along with photo ID. You will be required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer when attending the site for your immunization. If you are experiencing symptoms, stay home and arrange for COVID-19 testing through AHS.ca or by calling 811.

Foothills County Fireworks Permits

It is with great pleasure that we announce that our new Online Fireworks Permit Application system is officially up and running. Much like the online Burn Permit system, the system allows for the residents of Foothills County to apply for these permits quick and effortlessly online at their leisure. We believe this is a huge progressive step forward for Foothills County and our Fire Service.. Find out more about the permit process here

Road Closure - Spruce Meadows

June 8, 2021

Update: June 10, 2021 - The City of Calgary will be closing Spruce Meadows Way (Range Road 14) between Spruce Meadows Green and 194 Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta. The road will be closed from June 13 June 17 to August 15, 2021.
